co-owner Sam Meyer carries on the 115-year-old family tradition of providing

the Hatter is surrounded by all that makes New Orleans rich in culture, history,
and style. Our store is within walking distance of the French Quarter, the
Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans Arena, the Warehouse District, the Morial Convention Center, and most Downtown
hotels. Take a ride on our historic streetcars to come see us. The St. Charles Ave. streetcar is in service from Canal St. to South Carrollton Ave. uptown. The Canal St. streetcar travels from the Mississippi River to the cemeteries at City Park Ave.
During Carnival season, you can even catch some beads and doubloons while
watching a Mardi Gras parade right in front of the store, as we are located
on the traditional St. Charles Avenue parade route. Mardi Gras next year will be February 16th, 2010.
